Things to do...
Fridays....
- usually on Fridays, Owen and I get to spend the day with Darby, Jack and Micaela... sometimes for swimming, always for lunch, and occasionally to museums or the like...
but today I had to go to work so Owen went to Darby's without me, and I wen to both Rod's and Silvia's... and was running from about 8 am until 4 pm when I finally got back to Darby's to spend some time there before taking Owen home for dinner.
- Dad made supper tonight, a delicious "stew" (more like soup) with cabbage, turnip, potatoes, onions and beef... it's great when he cooks... then he and I went out Christmas shopping, mostly 'cause my mom is leaving for California this week to spend the holidays with my sister out there... so we are celebrating with my mom on Sunday before she leaves... and I didn't have a gift yet! We found some great bargains and got lots of presents...and dad got donuts and coffee to bring back for dessert.
- when we got back, the girls had started on the special project for one of my mom's Christmas presents... every few years we do a crafty project (a ceramic tray painted with their handprints and names, a calendar) This year I got a scrap book and each of them did one or two pages with art and photos. I also did a few pages of photos with different themes (ie. one page is all funny pictures and another the photos are all "sweet")
- now it is almost 1:30 am and I am trying to make a list for what I need tomorrow - I am one of the leaders at our church for a youth sleepover... and I don't remember what I said I would bring.
- also tomorrow is the Gala - in which Zoe will perform, as well as Owen and Bailey's first show! Also Jack and Kayla, our friends... hopefully there will be no tears or hysteria from Owen or Jack.
