The Circus Begins...
With Michael Jackson's trial finally beginning, I am confident that our news coverage, EVEN IN CANADA, will be filled with daily updates. Apparently Jackson has created a website to keep his fans and the rest of us apprised of events and his innocence.
My daughter Zoe and I were talking about it today at lunch. She was wondering if the US gave the death penalty for child sexual abuse. I said, sadly, no. In fact, I said we don't have to worry too much about poor Michael going to jail. Even if he gets convicted, rich people get treated much better in prison. If they have money they can buy whatever they want, including protection.
Apparently that is what Martha Stewart has done. She has hired her own personal bodyguards from among her fellow inmates, and pays others to do her chores.
