Surviving a Day at the Beach

A the end of a day at the beach in Newfoundland, Canada, you never know what you will find when you get back to your car.

Comments:
this is an amazing picture! Did you take it?

no...my partner eric got it from a friend... apparently it was taken about a month ago. I have never been to Newfoundland, as it is difficult to get to being so far away and on an island. When we went to Prince Edward Island (Atlantic Canada) a few years back, it was just too much trouble (another whole day on a ferry) to go with young kids. Newfoundland is known for it's extreme weather and strange people.

I hate traveling with kids. When Libya was under US and UN sanctions the airport was closed to international flights. Go ing to visit my family in the US was a nightmare. 1st an over night ferry to Malta. Then a flight to Frankfort - stay the night there - then fly into new york the following day - another night in New York and then FINALLY on to Florida. You cannot imagine how miserable that trip was! I did that twice with 4 kids (one of the trips I was 7 and a half months pregnant with kid #5.

I think I deserve some kind of a medal! lol
