Fridays are Fun!
On Fridays Owen and I get to go to visit Darby's house... we have been visiting once a week for about two years. Sometimes we go places like museums or parks. Other times we go to swimming lessons or trampoline with other homeschoolers. Sometimes just Owen gets to go there as I have to work. Other times, Jack will come over to our house for a visit. But it is the most fun when we all get together, even if we just stay inside avoiding bad weather and hang around.
The one thing we always do is eat bagels. We get them from the Bagel Shop which has the best wood fired bagels. Our kids are very particular about how they have their bagels.
Owen always has his bagel with cream cheese and jam, like a sandwich.
Jack usually has his bagel open-faced, with slices of cheese melted onto the halves.
Kayla usually has hers with just cream cheese, like a sandwich, sometimes toasted.
Today, Kayla wanted hers with melted cheese on it, but found she couldn't eat it because of her loose tooth, so Darby cut it into small pieces for her. Kayla told us as she sat down "well... it looks gross, but it's delicious!"
Then we watched Ella Enchanted, which I finally remembered to bring over. I think Kayla loved it. Jack popped in and out - but he seemed to like the parts he saw. Owen has seen it a few times, so didn't watch the whole thing. I think this is my favorite movie this year.
Until next Friday...
