Lets Hear it For the 70s

Some people have been ranting about the 1980's... by then I was married with two kids... I found this site which has tons of neat stuff from the 1970's... now this was a cool decade... the one that I grew up in. In 1976 I was 13 and I got to enjoy all kinds of great music, clothing, tv shows and more.

Do you remember anything from the 1970's?

Hmmm... what I remember about the 70's.... gosh Lisa...it's all sort of hazy ~smile~ obvious loss of short term memory during that time :)

Hmm, I graduated in '72, so I guess I am one of those who can claim the 60's and the 70's for my teen years. Music and the Vietnam war were the defining influences, and I find it impossible to separate the two. Whenever I hear a Creedence Clearwater song, I also mentally hear chopper blades going whump whump whump, and the rapid fire of machine guns. On a happier note, the 70's meant a coming of age for me, first time to vote among other firsts ;-)

Velvet hotpants, long shag haircuts, Neil Young and Jethro Tull concerts, and 8-track tape decks are just a few remembrances.
